As a Pre-Sales Solution Architect (gn), you will play a key role in defining how Hansen delivers scalable, cloud-based SaaS solutions across the EMEA region.
Sitting at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Cloud Delivery, you will design and position solutions that are not only technically sound, but also commercially viable and aligned with our long-term platform strategy.
Your work directly impacts how successfully we win new business, scale existing customers, and deliver reliable, future-proof platforms in the energy and utilities space.
What You’ll Do
Solution Design & Architecture
Design end-to-end architectures for SaaS solutions hosted in Microsoft Azure and Oracle Database@Azure
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards
Translate product capabilities into scalable, deployable cloud solutions
Drive standardisation and reuse across EMEA offerings
Support transformation from on-premise to cloud-based architectures
Pre-Sales & Commercial Support
Partner with Business Development Managers and Account Executives in customer engagements
Develop solution proposals, architectures, and cost models
Support pricing strategy, margin optimisation, and deal structuring
Contribute to RFP/RFI responses with clear and compelling technical narratives
Costing & Financial Modelling
Build and maintain cost models for SaaS deployments
Analyse infrastructure, licensing, and operational cost drivers
Collaborate with Finance and Cloud Operations to ensure pricing accuracy
Identify opportunities to optimise total cost of ownership (TCO)
Roadmap & Service Evolution
Contribute to the evolution of Hansen’s SaaS offerings across EMEA
Align solutions with cloud provider capabilities, product strategy, and market demand
Drive adoption of cloud-native and modernisation approaches
Provide input on automation, scalability, and resilience improvements
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across Sales, Product, and Delivery
Facilitate alignment across global, cross-functional teams
Communicate complex technical solutions in a clear, business-focused way
Governance & Risk Management
Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements (EMEA focus)
Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks in pre-sales phase
Support internal governance and approval processes
What You Bring
You’re someone who has:
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
8+ years of experience in solution architecture, cloud engineering, or pre-sales roles
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (PaaS / IaaS architectures)
Experience with Oracle Database@Azure or comparable hybrid/multi-cloud setups
Deep understanding of SaaS architectures, multi-tenancy, and cloud-native design
Proven experience in solution costing and financial modelling
Strong understanding of cloud pricing models and licensing structures
Experience supporting pre-sales processes, RFPs, and customer engagements
Solid knowledge of security, networking, identity (e.g. Entra ID), and compliance
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience working in cross-functional, international environments
Nice to Have
Experience with EMEA markets and regulatory environments
Exposure to technologies such as Linux, MS SQL, D365, or SD-WAN
Background in managed services or SaaS delivery environments
