The Job:

As a Plant Manager, you’ll be part of our Leadership team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to:

  • Responsible for daily management and leadership of all resources assigned. Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to: Schedule adherence, productivity, personnel development, time and attendance, training, and establishing/monitoring departmental goals.
  • Creates a departmental cross-training matrix and mentors assigned personnel. Deploys team members to both strategically and tactically engage in cross-functional problem solving to improve production efficiency and product quality.
  • Ensures the organization accomplishes Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost performance objectives. When misses occur, develop a credible recovery plan with the team.
  • Review daily demand, production capacity, and constraints, optimize production schedules, and manage the workflow through the shop. Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and other reporting on a daily basis to drive performance in all assigned areas.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing activities based on policies, company objectives, and programs spanning multiple manufacturing functions.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain for procurement of required tools and MRO and plan delivery schedules to meet delivery schedules and quality standards while reducing overall lead time and cost.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Quality Control to determine the cause of rejected products and to resolve discrepancies in the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure safe and healthy working conditions and institute measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards and ensure compliance with company safety rules and OSHA regulations. Maintains good departmental safety consistent with the site's goals and objectives. Maintains continuing emphasis on good housekeeping.
  • Organizes and proactively manages their team to ensure meeting production and delivery expectations while maximizing available labor, skills, knowledge, experience, and capabilities. Continued focus on team cross-training and skill diversity.
  • Develop and drive cost savings utilizing continuous improvement & lean methodologies. Apply through areas assigned by learning, applying, and teaching. Ensure team member compliance with all operations procedures and documented processes and address non-conformities.

The Person:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of related progressive manufacturing operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, engineering, or a related field/experience, and an MBA is preferred.
  • Site P&L responsibility experience.
  • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, and IATF.
  • The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with proficiency in the following areas:
    • Creating a Safety Culture.

    • Ability to create followership and lead an organization through significant change and improvement.
    • Financial analysis, including understanding and use of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, etc.
    • Highly customer responsive.
    • Short- and long-term planning.
    • Excellent project management.
    • High-volume assembly operations preferred.

The Salary range for this position is $95,600.00 - $153,900.00

  • This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements.
