Physics & Mathematics Teacher – IB, IGCSE, A-Level & AP Location: Dubai, UAE — In-personEmployment Type: Full-timeStart Date: ASAPWorking Days: Monday–SaturdayWeekly Off: Sunday (subject to business requirements) About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Physics & Mathematics Teacher/Tutor to join an established academic training institute in Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver personalised, results-focused tutoring to students following international curricula, including IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel AS/A Levels, IGCSE, GCSE, AP Physics, AP Calculus, and other major international qualifications. This is a full-time, in-person position suited to an educator with strong subject knowledge, extensive international-curriculum experience, and a proven ability to improve students' understanding, confidence, and examination performance. Key Responsibilities Deliver personalised one-on-one and small-group tutoring in Physics and Mathematics.Teach students preparing for IBDP, AS/A Levels, IGCSE, GCSE, AP Calculus, AP Physics, and other international qualifications.Provide expert support for Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel Physics and Mathematics specifications.Design structured lesson plans, revision programmes, and examination strategies based on individual student needs.Explain complex mathematical and scientific concepts using clear, practical, and student-friendly approaches.Conduct timed mock examinations, topic tests, and past-paper sessions under examination conditions.Mark student work accurately and provide detailed feedback, corrections, and targeted follow-up lessons.Identify conceptual gaps, calculation errors, and examination-technique weaknesses.Track and report student progress and adjust teaching strategies where required.Prepare high-quality worksheets, worked examples, revision notes, and board-specific question sets.Support students with problem-solving, data analysis, mathematical modelling, practical concepts, and extended-response questions.Communicate proactively with students and parents/guardians regarding progress, targets, attendance, and upcoming assessments.Maintain accurate records of lessons, homework, assessments, and student performance.Stay updated with syllabus changes, mark schemes, command terms, examiner reports, grade boundaries, and assessment requirements.Work collaboratively with academic and counselling teams to support students' overall academic objectives. Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum Master's degree in Physics, Engineering, Education, Mathematics, or a closely related field.Proven professional experience teaching or tutoring Physics and Mathematics.Hands-on experience teaching or tutoring IB Diploma Programme is strongly preferred.Strong experience teaching both IB Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL) content is preferred.Proven experience teaching Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel AS/A Level Physics and Mathematics.Strong experience preparing students for AP Physics.Experience teaching one or more of:AP Physics 1AP Physics 2AP Physics C: MechanicsAP Physics C: Electricity & MagnetismFamiliarity with IGCSE and GCSE Physics across Cambridge, Edexcel, AQA, or OCR.Understanding of American curriculum Physics is an advantage.Demonstrable track record of improving student grades, examination results, and academic confidence.Previous professional tutoring, coaching, or classroom teaching experience is required.Strong knowledge of board-specific examination techniques, mark schemes, and assessment objectives.
