ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF OUR ASSISTANT MANAGER INCLUDE:

- Overseeing\u00A0daily operations\u00A0of the\u00A0resort by maintaining standards of conduct, cleanliness,\u00A0and\u00A0safety
- Managing resort labor,\u00A0which may\u00A0include\u00A0but not\u00A0be\u00A0limited to\u00A0creating\u00A0and posting\u00A0staff\u00A0schedules,\u00A0reviewing and approving timecards, and controlling labor hours to align with business needs
- Communicating\u00A0recruitment\u00A0needs\u00A0to\u00A0operations management and HR,\u00A0and\u00A0interviewing,\u00A0hiring\u00A0and onboarding\u00A0new\u00A0resort employees
- Supervising, training\u00A0and coaching\u00A0team\u00A0members\u00A0on company standards, policies and\u00A0procedures, while also identifying high performers\u00A0and developing them for growth\u00A0within the company
- Motivating and teaching resort staff to be successful in their roles by delivering premier service to pet guests and their parents in a\u00A0safe, clean, fun\u00A0atmosphere
- Fostering open communication throughout\u00A0the\u00A0resort,\u00A0including with\u00A0regional and corporate teams,\u00A0regarding resort operations,\u00A0as well as\u00A0partnering with regional maintenance crew on any building issues
- Supporting new and current team members with completion of required courses and\u00A0other\u00A0training
- Documenting and delivering employee corrective actions and terminations, when necessary
- Maintaining\u00A0appropriate inventory of supplies, performing walk-throughs, managing lodging calendars, leading meetings, and performing other recurring Manager on Duty (MOD) obligations
- Maintaining excellent customer service metrics such as Net Promoter Score\u00A0(NPS) and reviews on Google and other social media sites\u00A0
- Speaking\u00A0with customers if they have concerns, questions or complaints, maintaining a high level of professionalism, care and concern\u00A0
- Developing methods and procedures to increase sales,\u00A0promote new business, retain current customer base, and attract new customers
- Performing\u00A0resort\u00A0opening and/or closing duties,\u00A0and other tasks as assigned
- Maintaining 5-day workweeks (which currently run Monday-Sunday) onsite at the resort, with no more than 3 consecutive \u201Coff\u201D days from week to week
- Working onsite at the resort at least 3-4 weekend days per month and on holidays\u00A0

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE AN ASSISTANT MANAGER:
\u00A0
- 1-2 of experience in a supervisory or management role
- High school diploma required\u00A0(college\u00A0degree preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, including the ability to manage, guide, train, and motivate employees
- Ability to resolve\u00A0conflict, establish and build relationships, and successfully engage with customers
- Detail-oriented and focused on results, including a desire to ensure goals are met or exceeded
- Ability to develop and train staff, utilizing skills of staff most appropriately
- Prior leadership experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality operations or similar
- Previous experience in animal care or related field is preferred
- Basic skills with common computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and physically able to lift up to 60\u00A0lbs
- Comfortable working in front of house and back of house roles within the resort
- Flexibility to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times
- Valid driver\u2019s license and working motor vehicle
