The Role\u00A0

\u00A0We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to oversee financial reporting, statutory compliance, forecasting, internal controls, and business performance analysis for the Romanian entity. The role will partner with local management and regional finance teams to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial information.

The position combines local statutory finance responsibilities with group reporting, financial planning, and business partnering. The controller needs to possess the required knowledge of Romanian statutory accounting, US GAAP, S4 Hana SAP system, Transfer Pricing regulations, tax coordination, and audit support.

Key Responsibilities\u00A0

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
  • Prepare management MIS reports, group reporting packs, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with Romanian accounting, tax, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Prepare or coordinate statutory financial statements and annual reports & filing within timelines.
  • Monitor operating expenses, EBITDA, working capital, and cash flow.
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including intercompany balances.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate external audits, internal audits, tax inspections, and requests from advisors.
  • Liaise with external accounting, payroll, tax, and legal service providers.
  • Support VAT, corporate tax, payroll accounting, and other finance-related filings.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to local and regional management.
  • Improve reporting processes, finance systems, automation, and data quality.
  • Act as a finance business partner to operational and commercial teams.

\u00A0Qualifications and Skills\u00A0

  • Master\u2019s degree in finance, Accounting or a related field. ACCA, CFA, CPA, CIMA, CECCAR, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
  • Approximately 15+ years of relevant finance or controlling experience; experience with a US headquartered company will be preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger, month-end closing, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Fluent Romanian and strong professional English.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, multiple priorities, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Previous Big Four or external audit experience is desirable, but not mandatory

The Role\u00A0

\u00A0We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to oversee financial reporting, statutory compliance, forecasting, internal controls, and business performance analysis for the Romanian entity. The role will partner with local management and regional finance teams to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial information.

The position combines local statutory finance responsibilities with group reporting, financial planning, and business partnering. The controller needs to possess the required knowledge of Romanian statutory accounting, US GAAP, S4 Hana SAP system, Transfer Pricing regulations, tax coordination, and audit support.

Key Responsibilities\u00A0

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
  • Prepare management MIS reports, group reporting packs, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with Romanian accounting, tax, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Prepare or coordinate statutory financial statements and annual reports & filing within timelines.
  • Monitor operating expenses, EBITDA, working capital, and cash flow.
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including intercompany balances.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate external audits, internal audits, tax inspections, and requests from advisors.
  • Liaise with external accounting, payroll, tax, and legal service providers.
  • Support VAT, corporate tax, payroll accounting, and other finance-related filings.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to local and regional management.
  • Improve reporting processes, finance systems, automation, and data quality.
  • Act as a finance business partner to operational and commercial teams.

\u00A0Qualifications and Skills\u00A0

  • Master\u2019s degree in finance, Accounting or a related field. ACCA, CFA, CPA, CIMA, CECCAR, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
  • Approximately 15+ years of relevant finance or controlling experience; experience with a US headquartered company will be preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger, month-end closing, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Fluent Romanian and strong professional English.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, multiple priorities, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Previous Big Four or external audit experience is desirable, but not mandatory
