Nacelle & Hub Quality Controller

Job Summary: QC/QA engineer ensures all nacelle and hub process are up to standards and as per the specifications and regulatory requirements. Assurance of inspection protocols and checklists, quality documentation and coordination with production and engineering teams to resolve any Non-Conformity Reports and continued improvement of the process related. Key Responsibilities:Development and implementation of QC/QA procedures for the nacelle and hub assembly plantSupport design and industrialization of the nacelle and hub assembly plant relevant to quality equipmentChecking critical points during assembly of nacelle and hub assembliesVisual inspection and inspection of the final product together with the quality teamConducting random checks of materials for compliance with quality standardsDevelopment and completion of accompanying QC/QA documentation for finished productsDiscussion with the production and engineering team of the root causes of NCR situationsCreation of checklist in accordance with specifications and requirementsPerforming of in-process inspections of assembly line components to ensure compliance with specifications and requirementsReviewal and approval of raw material certification, inspection reports and NCRsConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventative actionsCoordinate with suppliers on incoming inspection standards required for components and materialsEnsure quality documentation is accurate and completeSupport and coordinate internal and external audits for any certification and regulatory board (i.e. ISO, UL, DNV)RequirementsBachelor’s degree in mechanical, process engineer, Industrial or quality engineering Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality control/assurance, production foreman, quality inspectorCertification in quality managementStrong communication, training and cross functional leadership skillsFluency in EnglishCore SkillsKnowledge in WTG components, especially nacelle and hubFast learnerData analysisProficient in reading engineering documents, drawings and technical specificationsKnowledge of certifications and requirementsCapable of conducting root cause analysisStrong documentation and reporting skillsAttention to detail and problem solving skillsUnderstanding of technical processesAbility to work in a short time and in new conditionsThe ability to plan work tasks and assign them to other peopleAbility to work with people, stress tolerance
