Data Engineer (Microsoft Ecosystem)We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team and help build scalable, high-performance data solutions using Microsoft technologies.In this role, you will work on data engineering and BI projects across both cloud and on-premises environments, contributing to the design, development, and optimization of modern data platforms. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable and efficient data solutions.The role combines data engineering, integration, and analytics expertise, with a strong focus on Microsoft-based ecosystems.Responsibilities:Build data pipelines to move and transform data across cloud and on-premises systemsCreate and maintain data models that ensure high data quality and performanceIntegrate data from multiple sources while applying governance and validation rulesImplement optimized datasets for reporting and analytics use casesWork with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutionsRequirementsBSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field2+ years of experience in data engineering, integration, and/or ETL/ELT processesProficiency in: SQLPythonHands-on experience developing data integration and pipeline solutions (ETL/ELT)Experience with data architecture and modeling (dimensional and/or relational)Experience working with Microsoft cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Databricks)Experience with on-premises data engineering tools: SSMSSSASSSISSSRSUnderstanding of data quality, governance, and/or data modeling for Power BIHands-on experience with: Azure Data FactoryAzure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)DatabricksMicrosoft Fabric (nice exposure considered)Ability to work in a hybrid model (Lisbon and/or Porto)Fluency in EnglishNice-to-haveExperience with: T-SQL / KQLPower BIMicrosoft SSIS / SSAS / SSRSMicrosoft PurviewStreaming/data engineering tools (e.g., Kafka)Experience working in consulting or enterprise environmentsAvailability to work on client premises when requiredStrong communication skills (written and verbal in PT-PT and EN)Ability to balance business understanding with technical expertiseCollaborative and proactive mindsetCertifications (Valued)DP-900: Azure Data FundamentalsDP-700: Fabric Data Engineer AssociateDP-600: Fabric Analytics Engineer AssociateDP-203: Azure Data Engineer AssociatePL-300: Power BI Data Analyst AssociateDatabricks FundamentalsDatabricks Certified Data Engineer (Associate / Professional)If this sounds like you, share your CV with us and let’s talk
