MES Engineer (PAS-X) – Chemical ManufacturingLocation: Vienne (Vienna), Austria Employment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced MES Engineer with PAS-X expertise to join our growing team in Vienna. In this role, you will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within a chemical manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in aligning industrial automation initiatives with business strategy, while coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex projects. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain MES solutions with a focus on Werum PAS-XCollaborate with production, quality, IT, and engineering teams to ensure seamless system integrationLead and coordinate MES-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectivesTranslate business requirements into technical MES solutionsSupport digital transformation and automation strategies across manufacturing operationsEnsure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards (e.g., GMP where applicable)Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and stakeholdersTroubleshoot, optimize, and continuously improve MES performance and reliability RequirementsMaster’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)Minimum 5+ years of experience in MES, industrial automation, or related rolesProven hands-on experience with PAS-X (Werum)Strong background in industrial automation systems and manufacturing processesExperience in chemical or process manufacturing environmentsDemonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage projectsSolid understanding of business strategy in industrial/automation contextsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills LanguagesFluent German and English (both required)What We OfferOpportunity to work in a modern chemical manufacturing environmentInvolvement in cutting-edge digitalization and automation projectsInternational and collaborative work cultureCompetitive salary and benefits packageCareer growth and development opportunities
