Our Surgery team is a fast-paced environment, perfect for\u00A0technicians that are looking for training in multiple\u00A0facets\u00A0of the department and interaction with the other teams in the hospital. This team requires\u00A0strong communication\u00A0skills\u00A0to\u00A0liaison between surgeons and clients and deliver\u00A0post-operative care\u00A0instructions.\u00A0

What\u00A0you\u2019ll\u00A0do:\u00A0
- Directly supports specific doctor(s)for a given shift; may support different doctors within a department at\u00A0different times\u00A0
- Ensures follow through of departmental workflow for the supported doctor(s)\u00A0
- Collaborates on\u00A0scheduling of consults, transfers, and diagnostics\u00A0
- Delegates team responsibilities as\u00A0appropriate to\u00A0team members (rounding cases,\u00A0planning\u00A0and managing diagnostic scheduling and information, etc.)\u00A0
- Acts as point of contact for referral partner transfers/inquiries if doctor is unavailable\u00A0
- Provides departmental client communication for cases (i.e.\u00A0concerns, care plan discussions, Q&A in absence of doctor, etc.)\u00A0
- Drafts medical record documentation for supported doctor(s). Creates initial patient history, documents/gathers initial vital\u00A0statistics\u00A0and treatment orders,\u00A0scribes\u00A0referral letter and discharge/dismissal letter for doctor review.\u00A0
- Monitors e-mails and voicemails for doctor(s)\u00A0
- Assists\u00A0with and ensures completion of outpatient procedures as required by doctor(s) (bandage changes, post-operative radiographs, diagnostic samples, medication administration, etc.)\u00A0
- May escort outpatient clients to and from exam rooms and prepare/maintain\u00A0exam rooms\u00A0
- May act as a mentor or trainer for team members\u00A0
- May coordinate and delegate prescription refills to team members\u00A0

- Prior veterinary experience\u00A0required,\u00A0previous\u00A0emergency experience desired\u00A0

Our Surgery team is a fast-paced environment, perfect for\u00A0technicians that are looking for training in multiple\u00A0facets\u00A0of the department and interaction with the other teams in the hospital. This team requires\u00A0strong communication\u00A0skills\u00A0to\u00A0liaison between surgeons and clients and deliver\u00A0post-operative care\u00A0instructions.\u00A0

What\u00A0you\u2019ll\u00A0do:\u00A0
- Directly supports specific doctor(s)for a given shift; may support different doctors within a department at\u00A0different times\u00A0
- Ensures follow through of departmental workflow for the supported doctor(s)\u00A0
- Collaborates on\u00A0scheduling of consults, transfers, and diagnostics\u00A0
- Delegates team responsibilities as\u00A0appropriate to\u00A0team members (rounding cases,\u00A0planning\u00A0and managing diagnostic scheduling and information, etc.)\u00A0
- Acts as point of contact for referral partner transfers/inquiries if doctor is unavailable\u00A0
- Provides departmental client communication for cases (i.e.\u00A0concerns, care plan discussions, Q&A in absence of doctor, etc.)\u00A0
- Drafts medical record documentation for supported doctor(s). Creates initial patient history, documents/gathers initial vital\u00A0statistics\u00A0and treatment orders,\u00A0scribes\u00A0referral letter and discharge/dismissal letter for doctor review.\u00A0
- Monitors e-mails and voicemails for doctor(s)\u00A0
- Assists\u00A0with and ensures completion of outpatient procedures as required by doctor(s) (bandage changes, post-operative radiographs, diagnostic samples, medication administration, etc.)\u00A0
- May escort outpatient clients to and from exam rooms and prepare/maintain\u00A0exam rooms\u00A0
- May act as a mentor or trainer for team members\u00A0
- May coordinate and delegate prescription refills to team members\u00A0
Who\u00A0you are:\u00A0
- Prior veterinary experience\u00A0required,\u00A0previous\u00A0emergency experience desired\u00A0
- Proficient\u00A0in\u00A0calculations\u00A0(drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)\u00A0
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work\u00A0additional\u00A0hours when necessary\u00A0
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment\u00A0
