This position as an initial hiring range of $29.00-$35.00 per hour based on skills and experience.\u00A0

Our Surgery team is a fast-paced environment, perfect for technicians that are looking for training in multiple facets of the department and interaction with the other teams in the hospital. This team requires strong communication skills to liaison between surgeons and clients and deliver post-operative care instructions.\u00A0\u00A0

What you\u2019ll do:\u00A0\u00A0

  • Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc\u00A0\u00A0
  • Fill medications, enter charges and maintain accurate medical records, schedule appointments\u00A0\u00A0
  • Create patient releases, navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligations\u00A0\u00A0
  • Prep patients for surgery, including shaving, scrubbing and positioning, assist with intubation and radiographs\u00A0\u00A0
  • Proficiently perform blood draws and submit bloodwork\u00A0\u00A0
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and complete\u00A0\u00A0
  • Opening, turning over and cleaning operating rooms, as well as cleaning instruments and wrapping packs\u00A0\u00A0

  • Prior veterinary experience required, previous surgery experience desired\u00A0\u00A0
  • Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)\u00A0\u00A0

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment\u00A0\u00A0

We are looking for: Surgery Veterinary Assistant This position as an initial hiring range of $29.00-$35.00 per hour based on skills and experience. Our Surgery team is a fast-paced environment, perfect for technicians that are looking for training in multiple facets of the department and interaction with the other teams in the hospital. This team requires strong communication skills to liaison between surgeons and clients and deliver post-operative care instructions. What you’ll do: Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc Fill medications, enter charges and maintain accurate medical records, schedule appointments Create patient releases, navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligations Prep patients for surgery, including shaving, scrubbing and positioning, assist with intubation and radiographs Proficiently perform blood draws and submit bloodwork Ensure documentation is accurate and complete Opening, turning over and cleaning operating rooms, as well as cleaning instruments and wrapping packs Who are you: Prior veterinary experience required, previous surgery experience desired Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.) Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Perks and Benefits include: Comprehensive Health Benefits Vision and Dental HSA, FSA and Independent Care Spending 401k with Employer Match Paid Time Off (PTO) Shift Differentials and On-call Pay Uniform Allowance Employee Pet Discounts and Pet Insurance Elective Short-Term Disability, Life and Accident Insurance and company paid Long Term Disability Continuing Education Opportunities and Assistance Program Come as you are.
