Proposed work schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays from 7p-7:30a and every other weekend from 7p-7:30a (full-time schedule)

Never a dull moment in the Nursing department! Our patients need constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are being executed. This department is perfect for someone who can\u00A0identify\u00A0patient distress and react accordingly, enjoys phlebotomy, placing IV catheters,\u00A0assisting\u00A0with recovery and client follow up and education.\u00A0

  • Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss\u00A0cases\u00A0and gather\u00A0additional\u00A0information as necessary\u00A0

  • Partner with patient care team\u00A0regarding\u00A0treatment plans, client\u00A0communication\u00A0and nursing care concerns\u00A0

  • Provide client education including, but not limited\u00A0to:\u00A0home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions)\u00A0and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients\u00A0

  • Assist DVM with patient assessment,\u00A0treatment\u00A0and procedures\u00A0

  • Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients\u00A0

  • Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing\u00A0

Who you are:\u00A0

  • Prior veterinary experience\u00A0required,\u00A0previous\u00A0nursing or critical care experience desired\u00A0

  • Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)\u00A0

  • Flexibility with work hours and able to work\u00A0additional\u00A0hours when necessary\u00A0

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment\u00A0

We are looking for: Nursing Veterinary Assistant Proposed work schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays from 7p-7:30a and every other weekend from 7p-7:30a (full-time schedule)Never a dull moment in the Nursing department! Our patients need constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are being executed. This department is perfect for someone who can identify patient distress and react accordingly, enjoys phlebotomy, placing IV catheters, assisting with recovery and client follow up and education.
