The Mechanical Engineer (MEP) is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems, in construction projects. The role requires ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and project timelines.Design & Engineering:Design and develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems based on project specifications.Prepare MEP shop drawings, load calculations, and technical submittal.Perform thermal, fluid flow, and ventilation calculations.Review and approve MEP designs, specifications, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).Project Coordination & Execution:Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and electrical engineers for project integration.Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely project execution.Conduct site inspections and quality control to ensure MEP installations meet project standards.Testing & Commissioning:Oversee the testing and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.Identify and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning.Ensure MEP systems are energy-efficient and sustainable.RequirementsRequired Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.4-8 years of experience in MEP design, installation, and project execution.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, and other MEP software.Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting system designs.Familiarity with MEP codes and standards in the UAE.Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and leadership skills.The Mechanical Engineer (MEP) is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems, in construction projects.
