About This Role:

As the Material Planning Manager, you will lead the material planning function for Crusoe's Manufacturing organization, ensuring raw materials, components, and critical inventory are available to support production while optimizing inventory levels and supply continuity. You will manage a team of Material Planners responsible for balancing customer demand, supplier performance, production schedules, and inventory strategy to enable the successful delivery of Crusoe's AI infrastructure products.

This is a highly collaborative people leadership role that sits at the intersection of Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, and Program Management. The ideal candidate is an experienced supply chain leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment, excels at building scalable planning processes, and is passionate about developing high-performing teams. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting Crusoe's advanced manufacturing operations.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Lead the Material Planning Team – Hire, mentor, coach, and develop a team of Material Planners while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Own Material Planning Strategy – Develop and execute material planning processes that ensure production has the right materials available at the right time while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing shortages.

  • Manage Inventory Health – Lead a Clear To Build forum, monitor inventory performance, safety stock, reorder points, excess inventory, and obsolete materials to balance supply continuity with inventory investment.

  • Own Supply Readiness – Partner with suppliers, Procurement and Strategic Sourcing teams to proactively identify supplier constraints, mitigate supply risks, and develop recovery plans for critical materials.

  • Collaborate Across Functions – Work closely with Production Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Quality, and Program Management to align material availability with production schedules and business priorities.

  • Support New Product Introductions (NPI) – Coordinate material readiness for new product launches by partnering with Engineering, Sourcing, and Suppliers to ensure timely procurement and inventory availability.

  • Leverage ERP & Planning Systems – Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage material requirements, purchase recommendations, inventory planning, and supply planning while identifying opportunities to improve system accuracy and efficiency.

  • Monitor Supply Chain Performance – Track key performance indicators including material availability, inventory turns, supplier delivery performance, inventory accuracy, shortages, and material planning effectiveness while driving corrective actions.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement – Develop scalable planning processes, reporting, and standard work that improve operational efficiency and support Crusoe's rapidly growing manufacturing footprint.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in material planning, supply planning, inventory management, production planning, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.

  • 3+ years of direct people management experience leading material planning, inventory planning, or supply chain teams.

  • Experience managing Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory planning, supply planning, and replenishment strategies within a complex manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar enterprise planning platforms.Oracle, Microsoft Dyn

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (such as Power BI or Tableau) to analyze inventory performance and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage supplier-related risks, balance competing business priorities, and collaborate effectively across Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations.

  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence principles to improve inventory performance, material flow, and planning accuracy.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience supporting high-growth manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, or rapidly scaling production operations.

  • Experience supporting the manufacturing of electrical systems, modular infrastructure, data center equipment, or other complex industrial products.

Compensation:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $120,000- $145,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
