Manager - Treasury Capital Planning & Management
Job description
This role is part of the Treasury Capital Planning & Management team and is responsible for advising capital strategy of the enterprise and shaping the future of capital planning and management activities through advanced analytics, automation, and strategic capital planning. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to modernize capital planning and forecasting for ongoing and stress testing scenarios, and enhance control processes by leveraging Python, SQL, Power BI, AI-enabled analytics, and other emerging technologies.
This position offers a unique opportunity to partner across Global Treasury, Corporate Planning, Credit Risk Finance, Controllership, Technology, and Control Management to develop innovative solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of capital planning processes. In addition to supporting critical enterprise initiatives such as CCAR and macroeconomic stress testing, the role will influence strategic capital allocation decisions and balance sheet management, while driving the digital transformation of Treasury Capital Planning and Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable business insights.
- 3+ Experience with Python for automation, analytics, or financial modeling.
- 3+ Experience with SQL and data manipulation.
- Experience developing dashboards using Power BI (or similar BI tools).
- Knowledge of Treasury and capital management, accounting or financial planning is preferred.
- Experience with process automation, workflow optimization, or AI-enabled analytics is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across Finance, Risk Management, and Technology.
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex business problems.

Uplift and reimagine the automated Capital Planning and Management processes and modernize analytics to improve the efficiency, scalability, and accuracy of capital forecasting and executive decision support.
Build automated data pipelines, interactive dashboards, and self-service solutions that provide timely insights into capital metrics, ongoing forecasting and stress testing outcomes and balance sheet insights.
Perform capital forecast for ongoing planning and stress testing, including preparation for AXP Capital Plan and other key enterprise initiatives.
Partner closely with Finance, Treasury Control Management, Risk Management, and Technology teams to strengthen the control environment by automating RCSA and control testing activities, implementing continuous monitoring, automated evidence collection, exception reporting, and data quality validation processes.
Collaborate with senior Treasury and Finance leaders to deliver data-driven insights supporting capital allocation, balance sheet strategy, regulatory compliance, and executive decision-making.
Prepare executive presentations and analytical materials for senior leadership, ALCO, and the Board of Directors.
