Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a Manager of Canadian Theatrical Distribution (Canada) responsible for sales and distribution strategy of theatrical releases. This position is responsible for box office reporting related to current and forward-looking performance of theatrical film releases, including strategic planning, performance forecasting, and business intelligence reporting. The role will provide direct liaison with all territory sales and operational teams to drive accessibility, box office performance, and profitability, while aligning local release strategy with domestic studio objectives.This position reports to the Head of Theatrical Distribution, Canada.

Key job responsibilities
• Assess performance of Amazon's theatrical releases and other studio competitive titles of interest; quickly draw valuable conclusions as to the likely impact on performance of a title
• Prepare release date strategies for Amazon titles; identify potential alternatives by conducting in-depth review of release windows, competitive titles, and holidays that could impact a title's success
• Manage all internal and external box office reporting functions, including pre- and post-release reporting to the Toronto head office
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with territory Sales and Marketing teams, data providers, and stakeholders to drive cohesive, results-focused partnership strategies
• Proactively identify key and current industry trends to assess impact on Canadian Distribution.
• Execute extensive and detailed ad-hoc analysis and research including box office reporting, emerging markets performance, regional moviegoing habits, and the evolution of the film industry
• Gather technical and business requirements to create a dynamic Canadian box office data and analytics system; construct coherent project roadmaps and liaise with IT developers to ensure successful implementation
• Develop predictive models and dashboards to forecast film performance and provide actionable insights that optimize in-market execution and long-term strategy
• Work across internal Amazon divisions to foster positive relationships and optimize data sharing and understanding
•Manage relationships with assigned theatrical exhibition partner, including both Major and Independent theatres.
•Support the day to day financial operations for the department (i.e track invoices, purchase orders, vendor payments and budgeting).
•Manage the planning, production, classification, and delivery of trailers and promotional assets
•Manage KDM operations and technical delivery standards across exhibition partners
•Oversee receivables monitoring and booking/gross adjustments in internal systems

Basic Qualifications

- Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- 5+ years of experience in Theatrical Distribution, or a similar role within the media and entertainment industry.
- Proven analytical and modeling skills with the ability to synthesize complex data sets and deliver actionable recommendations
- Strong track record of translating data insights into actionable business strategies that drive measurable results

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in predictive modeling and analysis
- Demonstrated success building strategic relationships with Canadian Exhibitors
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving mindset with extreme attention to detail
- Proactive approach with willingness to offer ideas and take initiative to develop and enhance processes
- Ability to work effectively with a high degree of autonomy.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
