We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. This in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Legal Operations Manager to own and optimize our legal department’s operations and technology stack, including procurement and contract lifecycle management. This person will be responsible for selecting, implementing, and/or maintaining tools such as privacy software, a new contract lifecycle management (CLM) system, and enhancements to procurement and legal request ticketing systems. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background, proven project management experience, and is energized by process improvement and AI integration. This is a highly cross-functional role partnering with Legal, Finance, IT, and internal customers to deliver scalable, user-friendly systems.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

  • Own all aspects of the legal tech stack, including evaluation, implementation, and ongoing administration of software tools

  • Lead the integration of workflow automation and AI-powered tools while ensuring data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance

  • Manage system migrations, upgrades, and user access; proactively identify and address system pain points for internal customers

  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Procurement to capture requirements, optimize processes, and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency and customer satisfaction

  • Serve as project manager across multiple concurrent initiatives, aligning technical solutions with business goals and compliance requirements

  • Develop and deliver training, documentation, and support resources for end users

  • Monitor industry trends in legal technology, privacy, and AI; make recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Manage vendor relationships for legal software and coordinate across IT, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure seamless operations

  • Track key metrics, prepare dashboards, and report on system adoption and performance

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 5+ years of experience in legal operations, technical program management, or technology implementation, with direct ownership of legal or compliance systems

  • Bachelors degree in any field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, systems integration, and cross-functional collaboration

  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira, procurement tools such as Coupa, CLMs, and workflow/process improvement, ideally in a high-growth, tech-forward environment

  • Technical acumen and comfort driving evaluation and integration of new technologies and AI solutions

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Background in technical program management (TPM), legal operations, or business systems

  • Experience leading legal technology initiatives at a scaling technology company

  • Knowledge of procurement, finance systems, and legal process automation

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
