Lead Distributed Data
Platform Engineer
You'll lead a small team of data platform engineers building and maintaining the internal data infrastructure that powers analytics across Relativity. That means owning architectural decisions, getting your hands dirty with the tech, and making sure the people around you grow.

What You'll Do
Lead and mentor a team of data platform engineers — not just manage them
Design and evolve the data platform architecture powering analytics at scale
Build and maintain distributed data pipelines and infrastructure
Own decisions across data ingestion, transformation, storage and delivery
Collaborate with product and engineering to shape data strategy
Review code, set standards, and drive engineering excellence across the team

What You'll Work With

What You Bring
5+ years of experience in data engineering or distributed systems
Deep hands-on experience with Spark, Kafka, or similar distributed processing tools
Strong Python skills — you write production-grade code, not just scripts
Experience with cloud data infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Track record of technical leadership — mentoring engineers, driving decisions
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to move from whiteboard to production
