Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Consultant to join our team in Chicago, IL. As the Lead Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our clients in the planning, design, and implementation of mechanical systems. This is a part-time position, with 20 hours per week, offering a flexible schedule and competitive compensation. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and understanding their needs and goals - Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information and identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement - Collaborate with clients to develop customized solutions and proposals that meet their specific requirements and budget - Utilize your expertise in mechanical systems to recommend the most efficient and effective solutions for clients' facilities - Oversee the implementation of projects, ensuring quality and timely completion within budget constraints - Provide ongoing support and maintenance services to clients, addressing any issues or concerns and making recommendations for future improvements - Stay current with industry trends and developments, sharing knowledge and insights with the team and clients - Mentor and train junior consultants, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field - Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical consulting, preferably in the commercial or industrial sector - Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members - Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously - Ability to think critically and problem-solve, finding creative solutions to complex issues - Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs - Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as needed Join Our Team: At M & D Mechanical Contractors, we value our employees and strive to create a positive and supportive work environment.
