Heavy Diesel Mechanic Permanent Full-Time - Afternoon 2PM Shift Mon-Fri Modern Fleet of Heavy Vehicles Competitive hourly rate + afternoon shift loading + additional allowances The Opportunity We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at our Somersby NSW workshop. In this hands-on role, you will take the lead in maintaining and repairing our fleet of waste trucks and truck bodies, ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently. Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure fleet safety and compliance Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults Maintain accurate service records using fleet management systems Support workshop safety and cleanliness in line with WHS policies Carry out basic welding and grinding work as required About you Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Fitter (Cert III or equivalent) A valid HR licence (advantageous) Strong understanding of hydraulics and electrics Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently and cost-effectively Experience with fleet maintenance and running repairs Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement About Us Join us at Cleanaway and contribute to making a sustainable future possible, together. The Opportunity

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at our Somersby NSW workshop. In this hands-on role, you will take the lead in maintaining and repairing our fleet of waste trucks and truck bodies, ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently.

Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles

Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure fleet safety and compliance

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults

Maintain accurate service records using fleet management systems

Support workshop safety and cleanliness in line with WHS policies

Carry out basic welding and grinding work as required

About you

About you

Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)

A valid HR licence (advantageous)

Strong understanding of hydraulics and electrics

Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently and cost-effectively

Experience with fleet maintenance and running repairs

Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
