Part of the CIMIC Group, we are proud to be constructing Australia’s future and do so collaboratively with our partners and clients. We hire for careers, not project life. CPB Contractors has more than 50 major infrastructure projects in delivery, across all key sectors of the construction industry, including roads and bridges, rail, tunnelling, defence, airports, buildings and resources, providing you with career opportunities for years to come. Your Opportunity We are seeking a senior Digital Engineering professional to provide strategic oversight and governance across projects, tenders, and the broader VIC/TAS Business Unit. Reporting to the VIC Engineering Director, this role will act as the key Digital Engineering escalation point, supporting multiple tenders and projects simultaneously, while providing leadership and direction to Digital Engineering resources across the Business. Key areas of focus include: Digital Engineering governance, tender support, project mobilisation support, and framework establishment. Providing strategic oversight across tenders and projects, ensuring consistency and best practice. Supporting project teams and SMEs with technical guidance and problem-solving. Driving innovation and identifying opportunities to improve delivery through digital solutions and emerging technologies. Acting as a client-facing representative, engaging confidently with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. Supporting negotiations around Digital Engineering requirements, standards, and deliverables. Providing a long-term, Business Unit-wide perspective rather than a project-specific focus. Our minimum requirements for this role are: We're open to candidates from contractor, engineering consultancy, client-side, or government environments. Experience within the Australian market would be advantageous; however, given the seniority of the role, we are also open to considering candidates from international markets. Essential requirements include: Demonstrated experience delivering Digital Engineering outcomes on major projects or establishing Digital Engineering functions/frameworks within an organisation. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to operate strategically across multiple concurrent tenders and projects. Approximately 12-15 years' relevant experience minimum. We particularly welcome and encourage applications from Indigenous Peoples, women, the LGBTQIA+ community, mature workers, Veterans and Active Defence Reserve members, people with disabilities and people from different cultural backgrounds. CPB Contractors is proud to hold the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Citation - Employer of Choice for Gender Equality. We’re always looking for ways to make CPB Contractors a more rewarding place to work and offer a unique set of benefits, including: A rewarding career where we support your development, training and promote from within. Opportunities across all construction sectors so that there is always an opportunity suitable for the next stage in your career. Competitive remuneration and excellent benefits including a health and wellbeing program, discount portal and company-funded salary continuance insurance. Flexible work arrangements and a culture that values diversity and innovation. Please note: This role is being sourced through CPB Contractors directly and we will not accept applications via external recruitment agencies.
