Job Details - (Senior) Database Administrator - DBA (Asia-pacific Centre) - Bank of China (Hongkong) - BOCHK

Responsibilities:

• Provide database support for Oracle, GaussDB, MSSQL and Mysql databases within Linux and Wintel environment.
• Undertake DBA role to manage all databases, including database patching, upgrade, performance tuning, monitoring, backup and recovery.
• Provide technical assistance to the application team for project development.
• Install and configure various Oracle database products and HA solutions, including Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard and GaussDB.
• Perform development using PL/SQL, Unix scripts & JAVA.
• Perform system administration & monitoring on Linux & Windows servers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ year proven experience in Oracle database administration and support is preferred.
• Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical information effectively.
• Good command of Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) and English is necessary.
• Experience working with financial industry and understand the technical architecture of banking systems is preferred.
