Job description
Loydence Academy is seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT and Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of all IT-related activities within the school, as well as overseeing the general maintenance of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Management:
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist teachers and staff with technical support.
- Manage and maintain all IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and telecommunications.
- Oversee email account setups and management.
- Administer website updates and manage social media platforms.
- Conduct regular backups and ensure data integrity.
- Manage stock of IT equipment and supplies.
- Oversee security systems, including CCTV operations.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and technical requirements.
- Maintain printers, interactive smart boards, and other digital teaching aids.
Maintenance Supervision:
- Supervise and coordinate the overall maintenance of the school premises.
- Manage AC maintenance and other critical infrastructure.
- Ensure all technical components are serviced and maintained according to schedule.
- Submit and follow up on maintenance requests.
- Supervise other technical staff and maintenance technicians.
- Liaise with vendors for IT and maintenance-related purchases.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and IT expenditures and operations.
Asset Management:
- Keep track of all assets assigned to staff and students.
- Ensure proper documentation and records for asset distribution and maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT administration and facility maintenance.
- Strong understanding of network administration and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Leadership experience and ability to supervise a team.
