Overview
Celanese is seeking an Instrumentation Technician, Maintenance to join our team in Bishop, TX.
Responsibilities
- Install, Calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and functionally check instruments, control systems, final control elements, control valves, switches, levels, temperatures and flows
- Install, test, troubleshoot and repair motor controls, PLC’s and relays
- Use test equipment, multimeters, loop calibrators, communicators, computers and hand tools
- Understanding of and ability to troubleshoot ladder logic
- Reads, interprets electrical drawings and P&ID’s
- Maintains drawings to reflect any modifications
- Works directly with vendors, operations, and reliability group to resolve problems
- Participate in site-wide Process Safety and Risk Reduction
- Create and update accurate reports using SAP
- Complete all written and electronic records, calibration sheets, work orders and document the work in progress as it is completed
Qualifications
- Must have basic computer skills including MS office applications, Excel, Word and Outlook
- High School diploma/GED
- Detail oriented with problem solving skills, and able to organize and prioritize work assignments
- Knowledge of general and specific maintenance disciplines usually gained through a technical associate degree
- Able to work overtime, weekends and have scheduled on call duties
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance instrument, analyzer and/or electrical experience – preferred
- Instrumentation associate degree - preferred
- NCCER- Instrumentation certification - preferred
