Job description
We are looking for an experienced IFRS 9 ECL professionals for a banking project. The candidate will support Expected Credit Loss assessment, financial reporting, audit-related requirements, and IFRS 9 compliance activities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss calculation, review, and reporting activities.Analyze credit risk data, impairment models, and ECL-related assumptions.Review staging, PD, LGD, EAD, macroeconomic overlays, and model outputs.Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, finance, risk, and compliance departments.Ensure IFRS 9 calculations and reports are aligned with audit and regulatory requirements.Prepare documentation, working papers, schedules, and audit support files.Identify gaps, validate data accuracy, and recommend process improvements.Support month-end, quarter-end, or project-based financial reporting requirements.Requirements8 to 10 years of relevant experience in banking, audit, finance, or credit risk.Strong hands-on experience in IFRS 9 – Expected Credit Loss (ECL).Prior audit experience is mandatory.Must be ACCA / CPA qualified.Strong knowledge of banking financial reporting and impairment assessment.Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid Qatar Residency Permit.Immediate joiners preferred.
