Job description

A supportive secondary academy in Nottinghamshire is seeking a Humanities Teacher to join its growing department. The school is looking for a versatile teacher with a strong background in History, Geography or both. This would suit a teacher who enjoys working collaboratively and wants to contribute to a developing curriculum. The position is available from October.

The Role

  • Teach History and/or Geography across KS3 and KS4.

  • Plan engaging lessons that encourage independent thinking.

  • Prepare students for examinations where appropriate.

  • Assess progress and adapt teaching accordingly.

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and wider Humanities activities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Hold QTS and a relevant Humanities degree.

  • Have strong subject knowledge.

  • Be adaptable and confident across different year groups.

  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management.

  • Be committed to supporting students of all abilities.
