The opportunity
Hitachi Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Specialist to support various human resources functions, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and contributing to a positive employee experience. This role will involve a blend of administrative, operational, and employee-facing duties within a dynamic and global organization.
How you’ll make an impact
- Administer and maintain HR information systems (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Process new hire onboarding, including background checks, offer letter generation, and new employee orientation coordination.
- Support employee relations by assisting with inquiries, resolving issues, and escalating complex matters to senior HR personnel.
- Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and communication of benefit programs.
- Assist with performance management processes, including tracking performance reviews and providing support for performance improvement plans.
- Coordinate and support various HR projects and initiatives, such as training programs, employee engagement activities, and policy updates.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and company policies.
- Maintain confidential employee records and information with the utmost discretion.
- Collaborate effectively with other HR team members and departments across the organization.
Your background
- Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in an HR generalist or specialist role, preferably within a large, multinational organization.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and relevant employment laws.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and HR-related issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with global HR practices and cultural nuances is a plus.
