Job description
In this role, you will: Lead, coach, and develop engineering managers, technical leads, and engineers, fostering an inclusive culture with clear accountability, effective collaboration, and opportunities for career growth. Partner with product management, architecture, security, and network service teams to establish a cohesive strategy for network manageability, shared tooling, and AI-powered network engineering and operations. Provide technical leadership for secure, scalable, and reusable platform capabilities that support Network Graph and Network IQ, enabling engineers, AI agents, and digital workers to reason across network data and operational context. Lead the transformation of the engineering organization toward an AI-first engineering model, equipping engineers to use AI throughout the software development and operations lifecycle, redesign workflows around human-agent collaboration, and build the skills and practices needed to deliver greater impact with AI. Oversee engineering plans, architecture and design documents, release plans, and execution across multiple products and platform capabilities, balancing near-term delivery with long-term modernization. Ensure all software services meet reliability, security, compliance, privacy, accessibility, and engineering-fundamentals requirements. Establish measurable service-health objectives and drive disciplined practices across design, coding, testing, deployment, observability, incident management, resiliency, and continuous improvement. Lead the resolution of complex service incidents and systemic engineering issues, using telemetry, Network IQ, and AI-assisted insights to improve reliability, security, performance, and engineering efficiency. Communicate technical direction, risks, trade-offs, and progress to engineering teams and senior stakeholders, building alignment and accountability across organizational boundaries.
