G&R project package is key to the successful execution of the greenfield GranMorgu project, a total investment of 11 BUSD, involving the development of two fields, Sapakara and Krabdagu, with four reservoirs over water depths ranging from 100 to 1400 meters. The development plan includes a total gas re-injection scheme, complemented by water injection using a WAG (Water Alternate Gas) injection scheme). Two drilling ships will be mobilized late Q4 2026 to drill 32 subsea wells (16 OP, 13 WAG, 2 GI, 1 WI) with a total drilling expenditure of 3 BUSD, featuring complex lateral reservoir sections. First Oil is anticipated between April and June 2028.

The drilling and installation campaign shall require an effective workflow to be set up, tested and documented, for managing, displaying and exchanging geographic data.


As part of your mission, you will:

  • Adhere with the Company’s and Subsidiary HSEQ and sustainability principles
  • Analyze and manage geographic data
    1. Perform advanced spatial analyses, thematic mapping, and geodesic calculations using specialized GIS tools
    2. Maintain and update geodatabases, integrating public and proprietary datasets from Suriname and/or Caribbean Sea, in accordance with Emergency and Crisis management Company Rule (CR GR HSE 701)
    3. Develop smart geospatial solutions for HSE and Operations, including data collection, geodatabase creation, cartographic products and interactive web maps:
      • Common Operating Picture (COP),
      • Operations: Transport Security, Vessel tracking, Common and Simultaneous Operation (COMOPS & SIMOPS), Geofencing - Restricted Navigation zones monitoring,
      • Security: assets location, potential threats, staff housing location,
    4. Act as focal point for Emergency Cell exercises, ensuring timely updates and spatial analysis for internal teams and authorities
    5. Provide geospatial support for environmental and social permitting: framing and gathering geospatial deliverables, conducting quality control, archive and capitalization. Preparing data packages to share with authorities and other stakeholders
    6. Maintain a high-quality reference subsea layout, in line with company standards: As designed, pre lay, as laid, as built surveys included
    7. Ensure governance, standardization, and quality of geospatial data
    8. Capitalization and retention of geospatial data according to current rules
    9. Document the processes above for training of future colleagues
  • Participate in data valorization and security:
    1. Deploy and maintain standardized web map platforms for spatial data visualization
    2. Contribute to asset management dashboards and monitoring tools (T-MORE, Power BI, ArcGIS, Galigeo)
    3. Application of regular monitoring in terms of storage, deduplication, and archiving of data according to current rules and data strategy
    4. Document and disseminate best practices related to use of geographic data within the entity
    5. Management and processing of entity access rights to web map resources
  • Contribute to data governance setting up at the subsidiary:
    1. Gather and master established data governance rules applicable to Geospatial – GIS and remote sensing focused
    2. Represent the geospatial data domain, applying governance standards and engaging with HQ domain leads
    3. Carry out the realization of the Geospatial DMP (Data Management Plan) in partnership with the Data Governance service and geospatial at Headquarters (HQ)
  • Contribute to deployment of GIS and migration from HQ to the subsidiary:
    1. Support GIS software and tools deployment at Subsidiary
    2. Align affiliate geospatial projects with corporate software strategy and HQ guidance
    3. Oversee migration of projects from HQ to subsidiary, using both the EUGEA cloud-based platform and local infrastructure

Record GIS-IT issues and evolutions required, for ensuring their smooth solving or progress and client satisfaction

  • Degree requested: Geomatics Engineer degree or Geographer.
  • Professional Experience: 5 years in GIS data management and web mapping. Previous experience in E&P would be an asset.
  • Tools: Microsoft Office 365, PowerBI, QGIS, ArcGIS Portal, AutoCAD, ArcGIS PRO, QGIS, PostGIS, GeoServer, Geonode, FME, Model Builder, Global Mapper, ENVI. Knowledge of Python scripting or other no-code/low code automation tools for GIS is welcome.
  • Soft skills: Fluent English (written, spoken) requested. French and Dutch are valuable assets. Organization. Adaptability.
