OverviewWe are on the lookout for a General Manager for one of our clients in Muscat. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of strategy, operations, scaling, and impact. The GM will lead the national expansion of the company's workshop model, manage relationships with the Ministry of Social Development and other government bodies, as well as governorates, and drive financial sustainability through brand development and sales. The role requires a sharp operational mind, social commitment, and entrepreneurial thinking.Key Responsibilities:Strategic LeadershipLead and implement a national strategy to expand company's model to other governorates, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Development (MOSD) and other stakeholders.Identify and pursue opportunities to diversify workshop models beyond paper recycling, while maintaining quality and inclusion standards.Develop multi-year business plans focused on social impact, revenue generation, and sustainability. Represent the company for Business in high-level meetings with government partners and donors.Operational ManagementOversee all daily operations of the Muscat workshop, ensuring efficiency, quality, and inclusion.Supervise and support the Workshop Unit Manager and all operational staff.Ensure that the work environment is inclusive, safe, and productive for employees with intellectual disabilities.Develop systems to monitor workflow, output, and continuous improvement.Financial Oversight Develop and manage the organization’s annual budget and monitor cash flow.Ensure the social enterprise moves toward financial self-sufficiency through diversified revenue channels.Coordinate with the client's Executive Directors on any donor-funded support while maximizing earned income from product sales.Brand and Commercial DevelopmentOversee the client's growth as a national label for disability-made products.Support the efforts of the Business Development Executive and guide retail expansion across supermarkets, bazaars, exhibitions, and online platforms.Ensure that product quality, branding, and storytelling align with the brand’s inclusive and national identity.Team Leadership and inclusionRecruit, supervise, and develop all team members, including persons with disabilities, with support from relevant parties and specialists from the Ministry of Social Development when needed.Ensure that inclusive HR policies are followed in recruitment, performance management, and professional development, in coordination with relevant parties from Ministry of Social Development or Ministry of Labor as needed.Work closely with specialists, whether privately recruited or from the relevant ministries to adapt workflows and job roles for individuals with varying abilities.Partnerships and Stakeholder EngagementServe as the main point of contact for the Ministry of Social Development and other governmental bodies.Build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, donors, and community members, to align activities with broader organizational goals.Act as a spokesperson for the workshop and brand, promoting its vision and achievements.Lead negotiations and oversee execution of MOUs and LTAs with national and regional authorities.Support replication efforts by providing operational guidance and ensuring consistency across future workshop sites.Monitoring, Evaluation & ReportingEstablish KPIs to measure both operational success and social impact.
