This hybrid role will be based in Bristol, UK. Our client is at the forefront of modernising the financial industry, and utilise cutting-edge technology to provide innovative solutions that empower individuals and businesses to better manage their finances. Our client is seeking a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer to play a key role in developing and enhancing their platform as they continue to expand and evolve. You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects spanning both the front-end and back-end, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features and functionalities. Role Responsibilities: This is a hybrid role, but will only require 1 day in the Bristol office each week. Design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable software solutions, spanning both frontend and backend components.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Implement responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using modern web technologies and develop robust and efficient backend services using server-side technologies. The current stack is largely React, Typescript, NodeJS and React Native but new technologies are constantly reviewed as they seek to optimise their products.Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred but not required.Proven experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, with a strong track record of designing and building complex web applications.Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies, including React, Typescript, NodeJS and React Native.Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.Familiarity with at least one of the major cloud platforms.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse requirements and propose technical solutions.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.Prior experience in the fintech or financial services industry is desirable but not essential.
