About the team

As a member of the Finance team reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for assisting with month-end close at the corporate level. This role will also be responsible for the accounting of a subsidiary. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with colleagues and help support a high-growth, multi-entity, global business.

What you will do

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for daily accounts receivable and payable operations, as well as assisting with month-end close processes and tax-related activities, such as tax payments and the preparation of ongoing support and backup documentation.

  • Perform daily accounts receivable operations (billing, payment receipts)
  • Perform daily accounts payable operations, including vendor registration, vendor bills, and payments
  • Process employee expense reimbursements
  • Assist the Sr. Accountant with month-end close processes
  • Assist with tax-related activities, including payments and backup preparation
  • Support other ad hoc requests as required
  • Recommend and implement process improvements where identified

What we are looking for

  • 1–3 years of experience in general accounting and month-end close procedures
  • Team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments
  • Able to work independently and consistently to support timely reporting for the Sr. Financial Accountant and Accounting Manager
  • Proven time management skills and ability to multitask effectively
  • Experience with NetSuite, Concur, and internet banking is considered an asset
  • Business-level Japanese and conversational-level English
  • Highly motivated to learn, develop new skills, and take on new challenges
  • Proficient in Excel
