Job SummaryThis position is responsible for overseeing the finance and accounting operations within a property development group. The role focuses on ensuring accurate financial reporting, project-level cost control, and supporting management in decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, and project performance analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee full set of accounts and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activitiesPrepare management accounts, financial reports, and detailed variance analysis for ongoing projectsMonitor project costing, work-in-progress (WIP), and development expenditure tracking across multiple projectsSupport revenue recognition for development projects using Percentage of Completion (POC) / MFRS 15 standardsDrive annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for project and group-level performanceManage cash flow planning, liquidity position, and banking facilities utilizationCoordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutionsLead, supervise, and develop the finance team to ensure operational efficiencyEnsure compliance with applicable accounting standards (MFRS), internal controls, and group reporting requirementsRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / CIMA or equivalent)5–8 years of relevant finance experience, preferably within property development, construction, real estate, or infrastructure industriesStrong understanding of MFRS reporting standards, particularly MFRS 15 revenue recognitionHands-on experience in project accounting, WIP monitoring, and Percentage of Completion (POC) accountingStrong analytical capability with solid business partnering exposureExperience with ERP systems (SAP or similar) will be an added advantageProven leadership experience in managing a small to mid-size finance team
