Enphase is seeking Embedded Software Engineers to join our engineering and technology teams. These engineers will be responsible for embedded software development for Enphase\u2019s microgrid products, including inverters and gateway products.\u00A0 This engineer will transition work from conception, through\u00A0engineering, to production, while collaborating with teams in California, Texas, India, and New Zealand. This position is within our Software Engineering group, where you will work with a small team to develop control for autonomous grid connection, management, and regulation. You will be working in a multi-site team and expect to interface across multiple functions.\u00A0\u00A0

What you will do\u00A0

  • Leverage AI and agentic coding tools to accelerate software development while applying hands-on skills and\u00A0sound engineering judgement to design, implement, verify, and maintain embedded software:\u00A0
    • Design and implement software to run under\u00A0embedded Linux on resource constrained\u00A0microprocessor based systems.\u00A0
    • Carry design tasks from concept to implementation.\u00A0
    • Document engineering requirements and\u00A0solutions\u00A0
    • Test new firmware and\u00A0debug and troubleshoot\u00A0issues in complex systems.\u00A0
  • Work with cross functional teams to test and troubleshoot issues.\u00A0

Who you are and what you bring\u00A0

  • BS Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering + minimum of 7 years relevant experience\u00A0
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work under minimal supervision\u00A0
  • Experience in and a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle;\u00A0hands-on design, development and debugging and use of tools like version control, bug tracking, etc\u00A0
  • Experience in various levels of testing:\u00A0unit testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing\u00A0
  • Software development for embedded Linux systems.\u00A0
  • Strong understanding of C/C++ programming concepts, and operating systems concepts.\u00A0
  • Strong understanding of real time control, multi-threading and inter-process communications.\u00A0
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.\u00A0
  • Experience in scripting languages like Ruby, Lua, Python, etc.\u00A0
  • Familiarity with development tools such as GCC, GDB,\u00A0GNU Make, cross compilation, etc.\u00A0
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.\u00A0
