Job description

Provide technical and application assistance to plant support functions, field sales, and customers as needed; assist the sales team in obtaining orders and supporting solution development for unique or non-standard applications. Manage large, complex customer projects to completion within established deadlines with minimal supervision, ensuring deliverables meet customer requirements and manufacturing schedules. Collaborate with product applications engineer, engineering, and operations teams to identify and implement solutions to specific technical problems and warranty issues. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical expertise in the assigned product line portfolio, including applicable codes and standards (ANSI, IEEE, NEMA, NEC, UL) and competitor capabilities. Support customer visits and inspections at the Wilsonville facility and ensure engineering team alignment with plant safety, quality, and operational standards. Ensure training, instruction, and guidance is provided to employees in a timely manner and aligned with both strategic initiatives and product knowledge requirements. Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Minimum of 3 years of experience with Electrical manufacturing/operations capacities. Prior experience providing technical direction or leadership to a team of engineers or technicians. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Wilsonville, OR will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. 5+ years of experience in engineering or operations within the Electrical Distribution and Controls industry. Experience with medium voltage switchgear, motor control centers, or low voltage assemblies in an Engineer-to-Order environment. Prior experience working in a manufacturing plant, preferably in an engineered or configured-to-order environment. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop engineering and technical teams. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI). Proficient with engineering modeling programs (AutoCAD, Inventor, ERP Systems). Extensive knowledge and technical expertise in electrical and mechanical design and engineering methods. Extensive knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, IEC, and NEMA Standards, NEC, and UL requirements. Ability to manage large, complex projects to completion within deadlines with minimal supervision. Strong business acumen and ethics with demonstrated Continuous Improvement focus. Ability to influence across functions and demonstrate professional presence; exhibit managerial courage in handling conflict and driving accountability.
