The Opportunity
Leader for the engineering team in Colombia. Manage administrative responsibilities, as well as technical coordination for local activities.
How you´ll make an Impact
- People management is in charge of engineering with leadership skills focused on teamwork, collaboration, and staff development.
- Enforce the procedures and responsibilities for the different activities of the engineering operation to align with Hitachi Energy Group's global provisions, increase efficiency and quality of work, and reduce engineering costs.
- Develop studies and plan strategies for the execution of engineering projects, tending to the rationalization of materials and processes in such a way that costs and time can be optimized.
- Identify training needs and manage them in coordination with the engineering manager by continuously monitoring their functions and providing the necessary advice to successfully complete the processes, reduce time, eliminate reprocesses, and increase the executed orders.
- Troubleshooting and process improvement through the exchange of technical information in order to identify failures and work to improve them.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Your Background
- Electrical/Electronic Engineer Degree
- More than four (4) years of experience in related functions
- Accredited knowledge in design and construction/manufacturing of control cabinets, protections, and Telecom SDT technology, electrical/mechanical design and SPT (LDT) electrical/mechanical design
- Technical training in control systems, protections, telecommunications, and automation.
- English Language Intermediate
