Engineer Meter (Electrical)

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee installation, maintenance (preventive, predictive, and emergency), testing, calibration, and upgrading of all types of electrical meters, including smart metersEnsure all electrical meter installations comply with company standards, approved specifications, and safety regulationsTroubleshoot electrical metering systems to ensure accurate, reliable, and uninterrupted meter readingsCoordinate with internal engineering teams, contractors, and service providers to enhance meter performance and data accuracyReview meter communication systems and support integration with MDMS and related platformsMonitor installation progress and operational performance, identifying defects, non-conformities, and improvement actionsPrepare technical reports and dashboards on installation status, system performance, and operational feedbackFacilitate root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for recurring issues, escalations, or repeated customer complaints, and report findings to leadershipSupport preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives for electrical metering systemsEnsure compliance with ISO requirements, Risk Management, ISMS, BCMS, and corporate governance frameworksEnsure compliance with corporate Health & Safety regulationsRemain available to respond promptly during emergencies or blackouts, including additional work hours when requiredPerform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or managementRequirementsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering disciplineMinimum 9 years of relevant experience in electrical metering systems or a related field, preferably within a utility or large infrastructure environmentStrong understanding of electrical and smart metering systemsWorking knowledge of MDMS, meter communication protocols, and electrical standardsProven fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilitiesExperience in meter installation, calibration, testing, and maintenance activitiesStrong analytical, reporting, and coordination skillsGood communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to manage operational issues in field and system environmentsWritten and spoken English is essential; Arabic is preferred
