PURPOSE
The Employment Coordinator Trainee is responsible for the engagement of Employment Service business partners in sourcing and deploying suitable candidates from the network. The role is responsible for creating a sustainable pathway by recruiting and onboarding candidates to participate in employer required training prior to commencing employment with programmed. As a result, creating a revenue stream from wage subsidy outcomes and Employer Required Training and generating employment opportunity for job seekers, delivering on Programmeds social responsibility.
This role will pursue excellence across all areas of compliance, processes and procedures by undertaking continuous improvement activities to deliver the best possible outcomes for Programmed, Employee/Job Seeker and the Customer.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
On-site employee management:
- Develop relationships with local employment service providers for the identified region and provide potential Job Seekers with opportunity and access to the Programmed Skills Development Centre.
- Work closely with the SDC team managing candidate barriers to ensure successful completion.
- Upon successful completion of training the EPC will ensure all onboarding is completed and referral to branch resourcing specialist to be placed.
- Work with the branch resource specialist to ensure that all candidates are placed into vacancies in a timely fashion.
- Coordinate weekly information sessions or job fairs with employment service providers, to be delivered in partnership with operational delivery teams if required.
- Manage a regular stream of Job Seeker’s and input into FastTrack.
- Monitor on-site employee performance and ensure adequate hours are being worked to meet wage subsidy outcomes.
- Proactive in reverse marketing (leads and assists) of available job seeker employees to customers.
- Ensures all dealings with customers are reflective of a high standard of customer service and professionalism.
- Conduct and chair weekly retention meetings with ES team and operations team.
Continuous improvement, audit and compliance:
- Chair monthly performance review meeting with each employment service provider to ensure Programmed expectations are being met with candidate suitability and flow.
- Drives a culture of compliance and effective candidate risk management
- Ensures that all compliance based requirements are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Data management, administration and reporting:
- Manages all documentation and records within the requirements of the divisional quality management system.
- Prepares regular and adhoc reports on administration and compliance matters as required.
Health, Safety Environment & Quality (HSEQ):
- Promotes and develops a positive safety culture across the business.
- Ensures all candidates are inducted in line with business standards.
- Ensures activities comply with relevant legislation, codes of practice, guidelines and ethical standards.
- Continually advocates and drives safety improvement across the business
- Ensures compliance with HSEQ management responsibilities as defined in procedures
