REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Sedation
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BC in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
  • Licenses: Active LA medical license, DEA with LA address, LA Controlled Substance, and Supervising Physician License
  • DEA / CDS: Active DEA with LA address and LA Controlled Substance license
  • Certifications: ACLS, ATLS (if not ABEM), PALS
  • Experience: Residency completion in EM, FM, or IM; new grads accepted
  • Other Qualifications: Documentation of case logs and CME for past 2 years; immunizations (Flu, TB, Covid)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide 24-hour physician coverage in the Emergency Department.
  • Supervise NP/PA providers as required.
  • Perform emergency medicine procedures including sedation.
  • Manage patient care with acuity Level 3.
  • Maintain compliance with credentialing, immunization, and malpractice requirements.
