We value curiosity, ownership, and collaboration! In this role, you will develop and optimize plasma dry etch processes that directly impact device performance, yield, and manufacturability. You’ll work in a pilot manufacturing environment, partner closely with integration and vendors, and help transition cutting‑edge technology into production fabs around the world. Responsibilities: * Develop dry etch processes to meet physical and electrical product requirements * Optimize processes to reduce cost, variability, and improve capability * Collaborate with integration and process teams to develop innovative solutions * Perform root cause and failure mode analysis and drive vendor improvements * Support pilot line operations and transfer processes to production facilities Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field * 2+ years of relevant semiconductor experience * Working knowledge of statistics and statistical process control * Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet commitments * Academic knowledge of dry etch, plasma physics, thermodynamics, or transport phenomena Preferred Qualifications: * Master’s degree or PhD in a semiconductor‑related technical field * Experience in a research and development environment * Strong analytical and creative problem‑solving skills * Experience with data analysis, scripting, or Python * Strong digital literacy including MS Office Job Profile(s): Semiconductor Process Engineer 2 - Process Development Engineer - PhD Relocation Level: TBD Before Getting Started Please review Micron’s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
