Job Description As a Dry Etch Equipment Maintenance Technician at Micron Technology in Manassas, Virginia, you are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment and/or processes in the assigned area, while working in partnership with production team members and area engineers. Shift Technicians monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to solve and repair equipment issues. Responsibilities: * Assisting with equipment installs; tests * Crafting and modifying equipment procedures * Improve tool availability through detailed diagnosis and repair of problems. Deliver quality work and detail all maintenance actions in assigned records and tracking tools. Regularly evaluate maintenance records and processes. * Monitoring, analyzing, and addressing SPC issues for area processes every day and responding to SPC out of control issues * Keeping the Lead Tech and/or Lead Engineer updated on tool and area issues Minimum Qualifications: * Experience: 5+ years - Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance, specifically working on vacuum systems would be a plus * Basic to intermediate knowledge of AC/DC circuits including fundamentals of electricity, and basic electronic components and circuits; Basic understanding of physics concepts and principles. SPC principles and accurate application, and have understanding of semiconductor equipment/equipment. Basic knowledge of test and calibration equipment (O-scopes, multimeters, DMMs, etc.) * Flexible with job responsibilities and shift assignments including night shift; Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off) with the need to stand the entire shift and lift equipment Preferred Qualifications: * Two-year industry related associate degree; working towards a STEM related degree; or equivalent military training and experience * Prior experience maintaining High Vacuum systems; roughing pumps, turbo pumps, cryo pumps, pressure measurement systems; Maintenance, repair and solving experience with plasma RF systems and semiconductor type plasma etch tools like LAM (KIYO, EXELAN, FX, FLFX) or AMAT CENTURA, MESA, PRODUCER, ENABLER or TEL (DRM, SCCM, VIGUS, VESTA) * Experience with multiple robotic systems and proficiency on operation, maintaining and repairing same; Experience with Training and Mentoring technicians * Experience and/or curiosity about developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes Job Profile(s): Fab Equipment Maint Technician 2 Relocation Level: TBD Before Getting Started Please review Micron’s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
