Summary: We are seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Specialist to support and enhance our data warehouse operations. This role involves database maintenance, development, and enhancement, as well as administration functions such as data loading and user support for query construction. The position is crucial for ensuring the ongoing design, performance enhancement, and security of our data warehouse systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform database maintenance, development, and enhancement tasks.
- Conduct database administration, including loading data from external sources.
- Support users in constructing queries and generating output files.
- Review queries for performance issues and perform ongoing tuning and monitoring.
- Develop and administer processes to ensure the interoperability and security of data warehouse systems.
- Estimate, monitor, and enhance the performance of the data warehouse.
- Work on multiple projects as a team member and occasionally lead moderately complex projects.
- Coach and mentor junior technical staff as needed.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of IT work experience in business intelligence tools and systems.
- Strong understanding of source data, data modeling, and data repository requirements.
- Proficiency in database administration and performance tuning in multi-platform environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively on projects and lead tasks of moderate complexity.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
