Job description
As a Data Migration Engineer, you will:Lead data migration activities for Azure-based applications and COTS platforms.Design, develop, and execute ETL processes and data migration strategies.Analyze source and target data structures to ensure accurate and consistent migration.Identify data quality issues and implement appropriate solutions.Develop and execute SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, validation, and migration.Support data migration activities within Agile delivery environments.Work with Azure-based technologies and applications throughout the migration lifecycle.Use Unix Shell Scripting and text-processing tools to support data processing and migration activities.What You Bring to the Table:4+ years of professional experience in data migration and related data engineering activities.Strong hands-on experience with ETL processes and data migration concepts.Experience working with Microsoft Azure-based applications, particularly COTS environments.Proficiency in SQL scripting and database operations.Strong understanding of data quality assessment, cleansing, validation, and remediation.Experience with Azure DevOps.Knowledge of MySQL.Experience with Unix Shell Scripting and text-processing tools.Understanding of Agile ways of working.You should possess the ability to:Analyze complex data migration requirements and develop effective migration approaches.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues.Write efficient SQL scripts for data manipulation and validation.Work with large datasets and ensure data accuracy throughout migration activities.Collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.Troubleshoot migration issues and provide practical solutions.Work independently on data migration tasks while managing multiple priorities.Adapt to Azure-based technical environments and Agile delivery practices.What We Bring to the Table:Opportunity to work on Azure-based data migration and application transformation projects.Exposure to enterprise-scale ETL, data quality, migration, and validation activities.Opportunity to work with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, MySQL, Unix Shell Scripting, and Agile methodologies.Experience working on complex data migration initiatives involving COTS applications.A technically challenging environment that provides opportunities to strengthen data migration and cloud technology expertise.Let’s ConnectWant to discuss this opportunity in more detail?
