This is a remote position. For an international institution, we are urgently looking for a full remote Data Architect. Candidates need to be fluent in English. All positions are long-term. Candidates need to be able to work 5-6 hours in the European time zone. Working within the Business Intelligence team and with the SAP Functional Analysts, the Data Architect will participate in the following activities: Understand and implement application-specific optimization requirements using data virtualization technologies; Implement business-focused data virtualization and logical databases; Research opportunities for new software use for data integration and BI solutions; Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures; Develop standards for data virtualization application fulfillment; Employ a variety of languages and tools (e.g. scripting languages) to marry systems together; Design and manage the implementation of virtual data models pointing to authoritative data sources; Translate stakeholder data requests into virtual data model specifications for data virtualization; Leverage expertise and experience to propose and lead initiatives in problems like classification, predictive modeling, forecasting, time-series analysis, risk modeling, knowledge graphs, relation extraction, text analytics using AI, ML; Do research on emerging AI, machine learning, deep learning solutions applied to structured and unstructured data and be conversant with the latest developments in these fields; Design and develop predictive analytics solutions using AI and deep learning on structured and unstructured data (time series and other structured data types); Tasks and Responsibilities: Deliver custom, highly scalable AI, deep learning, solutions through prototyping, POC, and quantitative metrics. Discuss, suggest, and brainstorm new advanced technology solutions with team members. Explain complex models to non-experts, in layperson terminology to clients, stakeholders, and managers, while also being able to discuss intricacies of complex algorithms with experts in the field. Prepare white papers, reports, presentations on new advanced technology solutions. Work with complex technical data stores such as Hadoop, Amazon S3, relational databases, Azure BLOB, Azure Data Lake Store, and MS Azure DW Understand data scientist requirements and build scalable data pipelines to support those requirements Research new database technologies and recommend solutions to improve performance, scalability, & storage. Research opportunities for new software use for data integration and BI solutions Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures Profile: Bachelor or Master degree; +5-8 years of experience implementing business-focused logical database and data virtualization solutions; +4-5 years of experience developing solutions using supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques; Experience with complex technical data stores such as Hadoop, Amazon S3, relational databases, Azure BLOB, Azure Data Lake Store, and MS Azure DW; Experience with writing white papers on advanced technologies; Experience with logical data warehousing tools like Denodo; Strong logical and physical data architecture background; Experience with Python and frameworks such as Numpy and Pandas; Experience with recommending advanced technical solutions to improve performance, scalability, & storage; Experience building and owning machine learning pipelines end-to-end; A Strong instinct to apply architectural principles to business solutions; Excellent verbal, visual presentation, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts and ideas to diverse audiences at the right level; Strong in finding the fastest path to prototype development to prove new technology concepts; Proficient in programming languages like SQL, Python, etc; Fluent in English; Offered: A challenging role for an international organization; Attractive salary package; Interested: Please send your CV to
