Job description

About This Role

We are recruiting a Director to join our Insurance team in Corporate Finance.

The Insurance Corporate Finance team advises clients across the insurance value chain. This includes work with balance-sheet carriers on corporate finance transactions such as M&A, divestments, capital raisings (including sidecars and other risk-capital vehicles), and supporting alternative asset managers entering the insurance market.

In parallel, the team has a strong focus on insurance distribution, services and InsurTech, advising private business owners and private equity investors on buy-side and sell-side M&A. The team is active across both the UK and European markets and is deeply embedded in the evolving strategic, regulatory and capital themes shaping the sector.

The Insurance Corporate Finance team is part of our wider Financial Services Lead Advisory & Restructuring team, which brings together deep sector expertise across two specialist groups (Private Credit Solutions and Insurance).

What your days will look like:

As a Director, you will combine transaction expertise and origination leadership to drive client outcomes and the growth of the team. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Building and maintaining a strong origination pipeline, identifying opportunities and leveraging your network to generate new business

  • Leading end-to-end transaction execution, managing timelines, stakeholders and delivery risk

  • Applying deep sector insights to shape client strategy and positioning across transactions

  • Providing leadership across the team, coaching and developing junior talent, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture

This role is for you if:

  • You have a proven track record of originating M&A transactions, within the Insurance sector

  • You have extensive end-to-end transaction experience, with an ability to execute complex deals with multiple stakeholders

  • You have built and maintained senior client relationships across entrepreneurs, private equity and corporates, acting as a trusted adviser

  • You lead, develop and inspire high-performing teams, providing clear direction, coaching and structured development to junior colleagues

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions. We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
