This role is both hands-on and strategic. You will establish the financial backbone of the company and partner closely with leadership to enable scale.Build the Accounting FoundationEstablish accurate and timely monthly close processOwn the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash managementImplement accrual accounting, including expenses, prepaid assets, and fixed assetsClean up and maintain a reliable, audit-ready balance sheetInventory, Revenue, and Cost of Goods SoldBuild systems to track inventory (robots and seafood), yield, shrinkage, and SKU-level profitabilityPartner with operations to establish reliable COGS and gross margin reportingReconcile sales to cash and ensure revenue accuracyDevelop standard costing frameworks, including yield, labor, and overhead allocationSystems and InfrastructureEvaluate and lead migration from QuickBooks to a scalable ERP systemImplement systems for inventory and cost accountingBuild cost center tracking and reporting structuresEnsure data integrity between operations and finance systemsProcess and ControlsDesign and implement scalable processes across order-to-cash and procure-to-pay cyclesBuild inventory tracking and reconciliation processesIntroduce internal controls and audit readiness standardsReduce AR aging and improve cash collection disciplineMulti-Entity and Scaling ComplexityBuild multi-entity reporting and consolidation processesImplement intercompany accounting and transfer pricing frameworksPrepare the company for future audited financial statementsSupport scaling into manufacturing and plant operationsWhat You’ll Need5–10+ years of accounting or finance experienceStrong GAAP foundationExperience in at least one of the following: manufacturing, inventory-heavy business, or food / perishable goods / CPGProven ability to build accounting processes from scratchDeep understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting (standard costing and variances), and revenue recognitionBonus Points If You HaveERP implementation or migration experienceMulti-entity and consolidation experienceExperience in high-SKU, high-volume environmentsFamiliarity with yield-based production systemsWhat This Role is NotThis is not a passive “close the books” accounting role.This is not purely audit or technical accounting workThis is not a narrowly scoped position—you will architect the functionWhy This Role is UniqueYou will be the first true accounting leader in the companyYou will directly shape how finance operates as the business scalesYou will work on complex real-world operational and financial problemsThis role can grow into Controller, VP Finance, or CAO over timeApply for this positionAutofill from resumeSave time by uploading your resume.
