This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who can combine strong technical knowledge with an engaging and accessible teaching style.

You will teach students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, developing their understanding of programming, computational thinking, algorithms, data and digital technologies. The role may also include GCSE Computer Science and post-16 teaching for an appropriately experienced candidate.

Computer Science Teacher - Curriculum

At KS3, students will develop the foundations of computational thinking, programming and digital literacy.

They will learn how algorithms can be used to solve problems and will begin to understand how computers process information.

At GCSE, students will develop more advanced knowledge across programming, algorithms, data representation, computer systems, networks, cybersecurity and computational thinking.

The successful teacher should be confident explaining technical concepts clearly and helping students apply them independently.

Computer Science Teacher - Teaching and Learning

The department wants students to become problem-solvers rather than simply follow instructions.
