Your day to day

• Prepare and produce high-quality food in accordance with standard recipes and presentation guidelines
• Support the culinary team across restaurant, bar, in-room dining, breakfast service, and banquet operations
• Assist in delivering a diverse range of dining experiences, from buffet breakfasts and à la carte dining to conference and event catering
• Work collaboratively with Front of House colleagues to create memorable guest experiences, including guest interaction during service when required
• Maintain exceptional food presentation, consistency, and quality standards at all times
• Receive and check deliveries, ensuring stock is stored correctly and invoices are accurately recorded
• Champion the identification and reporting of workplace hazards and support the implementation of risk control measures
• Maintain accurate HACCP records and ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Crisis Management, HACCP, and Workplace Health & Safety requirements
• Support the wider Culinary team to achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction and operational excellence
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
• Complete ad-hoc duties as required to support the smooth operation of the hotel

What we need from you

• A passion for culinary arts and a desire to develop your skills within a luxury hotel environment
• 6-12 months' experience in a commercial kitchen or similar food preparation environment
• Qualifications in Commercial Cookery, Culinary Arts, or a related discipline from a recognised training provider
• A strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a collaborative approach to work
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and effective time management abilities
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• A guest-focused mindset and willingness to support colleagues and guests whenever required
• A professional appearance and commitment to maintaining personal grooming and hygiene standards
• Experience working in a multi-outlet hospitality operation or luxury hotel environment is advantageous but not essential
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and public holidays
• You must meet the legal requirements to live and work in Australia
