As part of our manufacturing team, the CNC Setup Operator enables precision and productivity behind the systems that create, package, and protect our iconic beverages. This role combines mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving, and attention to detail to ensure that each component produced contributes to the reliable performance of our equipment across the Coca‑Cola network. You will join a culture built on continuous improvement, sustainability, and the shared ambition to refresh the world and make a difference.

In our Auburndale, Florida facility, this position ensures safe and efficient preparation of CNC machining centers and supports operations through meticulous setup and inspection. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and a readiness to apply modern manufacturing standards, including digital machining interfaces and data‑driven performance monitoring. This is an opportunity to work with advanced production technologies that underpin Coca‑Cola’s manufacturing excellence—delivering consistent, high‑quality results that help sustain our global brands.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Prepare and set up CNC mills and lathes by loading programs, referencing machine coordinates, and establishing tool offsets.
  • Install and align work‑holding devices, including chucks, collets, and fixtures, to secure parts with precision and repeatability.
  • Load, measure, and adjust cutting tools, ensuring offsets and geometry are correct for optimal machining performance.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to confirm setups meet dimensional and functional requirements.
  • Inspect first‑article and production parts using precision measuring instruments to validate accuracy against design standards.
  • Monitor machine operation and part output during production, adjusting offsets as needed to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and supervision teams to report and resolve equipment or tooling concerns promptly.
  • Execute basic troubleshooting during setup or production runs, applying mechanical and digital skills to restore consistency.
  • Partner with material handling and inventory teams to prepare stock and tooling for daily production needs.
  • Conduct routine machine care activities, following safety and preventative maintenance guidelines.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and hazard‑free workspaces in compliance with environmental and safety standards.
  • Apply digital controls and data feedback systems to improve operational performance and identify process improvements.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent vocational training in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of two years of experience performing CNC setup and operation in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in machining processes on CNC mills and lathes, ideally including HAAS or comparable equipment.
  • Working ability to navigate CNC digital control systems, including offsets, alarms, and diagnostics.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, dimensions, and quality checkpoints.
  • Demonstrated skill in selecting and validating appropriate tooling, inserts, and fixtures for efficient production runs.
  • Hands‑on experience with precision inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Operational understanding of speeds, feeds, machining parameters, and material behaviors under varied conditions.
  • Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and adherence to quality management systems.
  • Digital fluency and comfort with AI‑enabled diagnostics or data interfaces used in modern manufacturing platforms.

What We’ll Do for You

  • Provide access to advanced machining technology and continuous learning resources to stay current with industry innovation.
  • Enable cross‑functional exposure to production and maintenance teams to expand technical insight and career mobility.
  • Support skill development in digital manufacturing systems and performance analytics for smarter and more sustainable operations.
  • Offer opportunities to contribute to projects that drive quality improvement and production efficiency across Coca‑Cola’s supply system.
