  • Ensure specimens and supporting documentation are completed as required in SOPs, receive specimens in the Laboratory, following established protocols for the handling of suitable and unsuitable samples\u00A0
  • Ensure all confidential information is maintained in a secure fashion. Contribute to meeting the departmental/corporate quality metrics, regulatory compliance and quality indicators\u00A0
What YOU bring to the role:\u00A0
  • You are CSMLS or BCSLS certified and/or a graduate of an MLA program accredited by BCSLS or equivalent awarding body (Canadian)
  • Applicants with a Bachelor degree in a related scientific or health discipline, or international MLA or MLT qualification, and a minimum of 1 year specimen processing experience may also be considered
  • You are customer-focused with a genuine care for patient\u2019s health\u00A0
  • Demonstrate skill in phlebotomy, with the ability to manage anxious patients through the sample obtaining process in a pleasant, calming and reassuring manner\u00A0
  • Prioritize and self-manage within a deadline-oriented environment\u00A0
