A welcoming primary school in Leeds is looking to appoint a Caretaker to join the team from September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented school environment. You'll become an important part of the school community, helping to ensure the site runs smoothly every day.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the school site, working to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Opening and locking the school site

  • Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs

  • Completing routine health and safety checks

  • Maintaining the school buildings and grounds

  • Setting up rooms for meetings and school events

  • Liaising with contractors when required

About the School

This inclusive primary school is committed to providing a positive learning environment where children can thrive. Staff work collaboratively to create a welcoming atmosphere, and the premises team is valued for the important role it plays in the day-to-day running of the school.

As part of the school's safer recruitment procedures, references from your current (or most recent) employer and a previous employer will be required before an interview can be arranged.
